-- Brussels, 15 June 2006 (press communiqué)
Cape Researchers at the Thierry Graduate School
Cape
Researcher is the name of a new type of faculty-role being introduced at
The
Thierry Graduate School of Leadership. This role enlarges
the "leader-ship" imagery of faculty-members and students evolving aboard an
environment-friendly sailing boat. This
concept was introduced three years ago by the founder of the Graduate School, and is personified by
the MainSail, StaySail, and Professor-At-Large faculty-members. The new
Cape Researcher qualification, alluding to a manned lighthouse,
establishes the advance of a land, of a given field of study, into the
ocean of leadership and change in general. Cape Researcher is a role
aimed at MA and MPhil graduates and alumni of the Graduate School, who are pursuing further action-research in their
professional fields. In a parallel with the Graduate School's overall view
on leadership, the scope of the "Cape-team" is multidisciplinary.
Alongside the StaySail roles of the Graduate Schools PhD-candidates,
the Capes' expertise will also contribute to the building of a still wider network
of Thierry-graduates active in a variety of fields, communities, societies,
and countries around the world.
