The 2006 Summer Residential Summer-program : Great Success !

It is the Thierry Graduate School's cherished esprit de corps, the common spirit existing in the members of the group; the inspiring enthusiasm, service, and strong regard for the members and for the School, that pervaded during the 4th edition of the yearly residential Summer seminar-program. The program was held from 3 to 15 July at the UCL campus near Brussels.

Thirteen participants from nine countries engaged into the main theme of: "Leading and Change : Learning in Action". The program surpassed everyone's expectations. Apart from practice-oriented in-classroom lectures - action learning being one of the focal points -, there were many other occasions for open interaction, experiential exchange, and cross-cultural exposure outside the classroom.

This year there were seven participants who normally attend the School's online Ph.D. curriculum  in Leadership and Mastery of Change. The shared experiences were overwhelming, encompassing many areas of our societies worldwide. This further underlined the vital roles our doctorate students occupy in their respective environments. The value and popularity of the THIERRY PhD-program is the source of an increasingly competitive admission process.

Also featured during the program were trips to the cities of Bruges and Ghent. And the traditional outdoors day, along with its friendship-barbecue, was held in the Belgian Ardennes. The members of the Bal family were the hosts of this most enchanting event.

Once again the 2006 Summer-program proved to be a grand opportunity for all participants to connect with fellow-students from around the globe, and to initiate new friendships in that great family of THIERRY program-participants worldwide.
