Leadership, and Urgency of Environmental Issues: New AtlasGrants Brussels, 22 January 2007
The
Thierry Graduate School of Leadership, the international leadership
institution based in Belgium, announces the creation of the
AtlasGrants. This new financial aid instrument is aimed at new
masters and doctorate students in the environmental leadership
programmes of the Graduate School. Never before in our civilisation has
the need for providing a highly relevant and practice-oriented
qualification to active and emerging leaders in the environmental field,
been so high as in this century. In recent years the Graduate
School has relentlessly emphasized this urgency. The new AtlasGrants,
offered in the form of tuition fee reductions, will support individuals who
have the courage, vision, and determination to take initiatives and to
lead people and projects, in a tandem with their e-coached online-based distance
learning studies at the Graduate School. The master's programme environmental leadership
specialisation (called EnviroLead), launched in 2002, was a world première.
In its field it was the first degree-programme being offered by means of the internet.
