The pursuit of a busy career may entail a need for studying at one's own pace, in one's own free time, and, in lieu of a classroom atmosphere, be (e-)coached by an expert -- an experienced leader-coach. 

Wherever you reside in the world, and provided that you have the perseverance to succeed in a distance learning mode, please consider the practice-oriented and online-based Hercules programme, a comprehensive curriculum which in the first instance leads to a Graduate Diploma in Applied Leadership Studies, and thereafter to a Master of Arts in Leadership degree. In earning a diploma and a degree in leadership, and through home-based distance learning, the 'HERCULES' online curriculum proves to be a true learning experience. The 'Hercules' was created by our Graduate School. It was launched in 2002, and therewith became the very first masters in leadership programme offered via the internet by a European institution of higher education.

The Hercules Learning Framework

Our Graduate School's unique Hercules programme mirrors the twelve extraordinary accomplishments of Hercules, the hero in Greek mythology ("The 12 Labours or Works"). The curriculum is thus divided into those twelve interlaced course-components, at least nine of which fit into the Diploma stage, and at least two for the final Masters degree. The learning mode and educational approach in the 'Hercules' comprises the following key elements:

(1) The Works (courses) are made available via a Personal Webfolder on our server systems.   

(2) E-coaching and mentoring, via phone and email, with comprehensive feedback being given for the study assessments (examinations). 

(3) The on-campus component, consisting of a two week residential summer-session, during the month of July.
