The Twin PGD+PhD Curriculum: The Four Doctoral Pillars, and the Overarching Thesis [1]:
The Pillars framework shown below reflects the combination of the PGD plus PhD stages. The fourth Pillar, the Field Project, and the overarching doctorate Thesis (dissertation) are tied to the PhD-specific portion of the Twin programme. In the case where the PhD thesis (dissertation) will be presented and defended at another educational institution, the Field Project pillar's structure and contents could be contingent on the latter institution's standards and academic customs.
