|
The next edition of the part-time (two year) version of the MA in Leadership programme, for persons to graduate in the Class of 2010, is scheduled to be offered in Brussels as of September 2008. The programme is similar to the 2006-2008 Europa version (see further below and next pages). The features and enhancements of the new programme will be released soon. Registrations are open as of November 2007, and until all places are taken by qualifying applicants. Additional info, click here.
Programme type. The 2006-2008 'EUROPA' option of our Master of Arts (MA) in Leadership programme is a part-time (two years), executive, and blended learning type of program, combining in-classroom with online courses. EUROPA is the first (post)graduate leadership programme offered in this learning-mode in Europe. The MA-curriculum itself was launched in the year 2000. The fully online version (Hercules) was started in 2002, and was also the first of its kind in Europe.
Aims.
The
2006-2008 EUROPA programme is intended for European and international executives who
reside in Belgium, and who seek to strengthen
their
self-, interpersonal-, and leader-competencies to
optimal levels. The EUROPA-format of our MA also meets the needs
for gradual development, arranged in tiers, and generating long-lasting
(lifelong) integrative growth. Moreover, the part-time mode is of particular benefit to the quality of
learning and for a harmonious life-work-study path during the two years of
the program.
Format. The EUROPA is divided into six trimesters (quarters). There are evening-sessions (one per week); daytime workshops (one full day every 5 to 7 weeks); individual and team case-study and reporting; and a number of courses offered online (for individual home-based study). The sixth trimester is entirely dedicated to the writing of one's Final Paper. With the aim of ensuring top-level learning and development in the EUROPA, the number of places is limited to sixteen at the utmost (twelve seats on average).
Curriculum. The comprehensive EUROPA MA-curriculum includes practice-oriented topics in, for instance, human behaviour; leadership growth (self-awareness, personal development, self-leadership,...); team dynamics and leadership; ethics and social responsibility, organizational leadership strategy; and the initiation, management and mastery of change processes. English is the language used in all courses, in the participants' interaction and exchanges, and in the entire course-documentation.
Degree.
[1] Upon
successful completion of the entire curriculum requirements a graduate
is awarded an accredited Master of Arts in Leadership
degree.
