Educational approach and style:

  Practice-oriented teaching style, with experience in small groups of international

    program-participants (students), and in individual developmental coaching;  

  Interest in the exploration of both theoretical concepts and practical frameworks, and of 

    the domain of leadership throughout the history of mankind;   

  Sense of teamwork with program-participants and with faculty-colleagues, combined with

    learning modes for and with adults (experiential exchange);

   Experience in interacting with students from many nations and cultures around the world (e.g.

     cross-cultural exposure required). 

Professional experience:

For the MainSail positions it is expected that candidates demonstrate at least 12 years of experience in the field of leadership (or a closely related area/discipline). The candidate's career-track could be composed of :

  Executive role(s) (in corporations, public organisations,...); and,

  Training and development (consultant/expert, professional coach,...) and/or,

  Lecturing at (post-)graduate level. 

Formal Education, and Languages:

  Doctorate degree is required (or doctoral studies in progress). A Masters degree is

    accepted in some cases (see next section);

  Perfect knowledge of English, in speech (teaching) and in writing. Proficiency in another

    language could be required for certain vacancies. 

Doctoral faculty-track

  New faculty-members who do not hold a doctorate degree qualify for a privileged admission into the Thierry Graduate School's PhD degree-programme.
