Pierre Choisel

Professor Emeritus (retired),

President, as Inter-collegiate Charter Special Envoy. 

Dr. Choisel has been active in higher education during his entire career,  spanning more than four decades. He was previously dean, vice-rector, and vice-president in educational institutions, in France and two other French-speaking countries. 

In 1986, more than twelve years before the Sorbonne Declaration and Bologna Process, he published a though-provoking milestone essay, Les Nouveaux Horizons de l'Enseignement Supérieur en Europe et dans le Monde, the new horizons of higher education in Europe and in the world. In 1993 he retired from active professional life.

Then, in 2002, he was invited and elected to the presidency of Brexgata University Academy. In his capacity of most senior academician Pierre played a pivotal role in the 2005-2008 Patronage of the Academy. No less than 142 eminent personalities from around the world have joined this distinguished initiative. In 2006 Dr. Choisel was re-elected for a second and non-renewable four-year term. 

At our Graduate School Dr. Choisel also holds the presidency chair; in this role he represents the Noyon Charter collegiate assembly by authority of which the Graduate School awards degrees.
