Concentrations (focal area/major) offered in the Hercules Masters programme

 

Two concentrations (majors/specialisations) are currently offered in the Hercules version of our international  Master of Arts in Leadership degree programme: Executive Leadership  and Environmental Leadership. 

 

  MA in Leadership, with a focus on Executive Leadership ('LeadCorp'):

 

  The LeadCorp (Executive Leadership in Corporations) specialisation is intended for programme participants active in or aiming at executive or managerial leadership positions in a private organisation (business corporation, local or  multinational, entrepreneurial venture, ...). The LeadCorp is also available in a tandem with an MBA programme (MBA/MAL Dual Degree mode), or as a post-MBA or post-MSc degree-programme. 

 

  There is also a specialised programme for executives and professionals active in executive leadership positions in public or state organisations (government,...). This programme is called 'ELPO' (Executive Leadership in Public Organisations). It can be viewed as an alternative/complement to an MPA degree (Master in Public Administration). Since 2007 this programme is offered only in a personalised mode, in Brussels and/or Strasbourg, and combined with one-on-one coaching.   MA in Environmental Leadership ("EnviroLead"), a very particular "Green Leadership " graduate programme for participants who aim at being (more effective) responsible, strong-willed, environment-focused organizational leaders. When it was launched our Graduate School's 'EnviroLead' was the first online program of this type and in this field, offered anywhere in the world. Fact: 

 

The 'Hercules', created by the Thierry Graduate School of Leadership of Belgium, and launched in 2002, 

was the very first Masters in Leadership programme offered by means of the internet, by a Europe-based institution of higher education.
