Overview of the THIERRY programmes

Our Europe-based leadership school offers two types of practice-oriented  programmes: the accredited programmes leading to a recognised degree in leadership, and the institute's original or rootstock programmes. All of our courses and curricula include a comprehensive personal development (leader growth) flow-track, in a combination with the participant's professional life (part-time or full-time occupation). The number of available places (seats) is highly limited, in each of the programmes. The strong want or intrinsic will (and personal meaning, or calling) to become a (better) leader, or leader-educator, is an important parameter for applicants who seek admission. 

Our personalised courses aim at meeting the needs of the individual, in his (her) being both a learner and a leader. The leader-role (leadership) includes high  responsibility, especially in human terms. Therefore, the best suited leader-learning and developmental mode, the one that  typifies the THIERRY leadership school, is the progressive learning plus one-by-one or person-centred approach. Our programme-participants are engaged in their own working environments, in which their enhanced leader-growth (leader-action) effectively takes place. 

  Degree-programmes (online and blended versions, "THIERRY Online")

  The PhD in Leadership and Mastery of Change. The doctorate programme-track is intended for experienced professionals active in the fields of, mainly, human development; leadership development and education programmes, and in the change processes for organisational or societal improvement and growth.  Details

  The Master of Arts (MA) in Leadership, in which the "Hercules" and "Sirius" versions are offered mostly or partly online, combined with personal (e-)coaching. These programmes are aimed at emerging and practising executive leaders. Details

  The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Leadership Studies, also called the Pegasus, meets the needs of executive coaches, and experienced consultants and trainers in leadership and management development. In some cases the Pegasus also serves as a pre-PhD curriculum.  Details

   In-classroom (team-bound) degree- or certificate programmes

Our Graduate School's cherished esprit de corps (or "one-to-team-to-one" spirit) is also expressed in two international in-classroom programmes offered in Brussels, Belgium, or at other locations in Europe. These programmes focus on, for instance, interpersonal and team or group leadership dynamics. 

  The Brussels-based Master of Arts in Leadership, is a part-time (two years) executive type of degree-programme offered in a blended or hybrid learning format (evening classes plus online). It is intended for active professionals and executives who reside in Belgium, and who wish to increase their self, interpersonal, and leader-competencies to optimal levels. The current European programme welcomes the team of participants who started in 2006 and who will graduate as the "Class of 2008". Registrations for the next group, the Graduating Class of 2010, are in progress.   The Thierry Summer Programme ("The Thierry Summit") is a two-week residential seminars programme held in Belgium in July of each year. It is an international and course-intensive event, in which practice-oriented courses and workshops in leadership and change are combined with a real exposure to foreign cultures. Our Summer institute is an extra-ordinary forum welcoming twelve to sixteen talented individuals from around the globe, mainly masters and doctorate students who attend the online-based curricula at THIERRY Online, our international online academy.

  Rootstock programmes

The rootstock are the most personalised of all course-programmes offered by our Graduate School. These programmes lead to a special diploma or certificate of the institute (not to a classical academic degree). There are four types of programmes found in this category of applied or advanced studies in leadership, and in executive coaching. All Rootstock programmes: more.

  The Coryphaeus CEO Curriculum is intended for top-level leaders, for instance in leader succession of large or family-owned organisations, or in head-of-state or similar positions in government or in public or supranational organisations. This programme is offered only by the Thierry Graduate School; it is unique in the world.
