At the Heart of Western Europe, Serving the World 

In-classroom and on-line.  During the past ten years our educational institution  gradually evolved into a Europe-based international knowledge centre in applied leadership studies and expertise. In general the Thierry programmes are aimed at emerging and practising leaders, and also at leader-educators who (will) lead various types of projects, leadership development programs and curricula, around the world.

Summer institutes. Our online leadership courses and curricula (THIERRY Online unit) have been crowned with success. One residential component, the International Summer Residence programme (previously known as The Thierry Summit), is held during the month of July. It welcomes participants from around the world, in a learning exchange that is immersed in a student-family type of atmosphere.

Past locations, current premises. In view of the relatively humble size of our highly specialised institution, and the availability of many external course-sites (class- and conference-rooms) in and around Brussels, the School modified its original plan of establishing its own urban campus. The school's offices had been in Brussels since 2000, in the capital city's main university and diplomatic district. Leaving the Avenue Franklin Roosevelt office at the end of 2009, following the institution's 'Next Decade' plan in which still more emphasis is placed on environmental issues and leadership, the administrative and director offices were relocated to the "greenest lung" region, the southern highlands (Ardennes) of Belgium.  see 'Contact' page. 

Another Next Decade component, also initiated in 2009, and completed in May 2010, is the partnering with the INSIL institution in France (at Charleville-Mézières, in the French part of the Ardennes).   External link

The Ardennes campus, a most "classical" one

Alongside the courses offered in-classroom, and via the internet, the institution makes use of a small campus located in the southern part of Belgium. This privately owned outdoor site is composed of an ancient mansion, surrounded by a botanical garden and rivulets. Also wishing to emphasize the importance of environmental ("green") leadership, the Summer institute includes an outdoor day held at this outdoors' campus in the Belgian Ardennes.  The site is nearby the school's Ardennes East office.  More

Other locations: Europe and overseas.  A number of programmes, curriculum components, or course modules can be offered in other European and worldwide locations. Such is for instance the case for the Chronos CEO curriculum, and for the corporation-hosted (corporate university) leadership development programmes. With frameworks for intercollegiate cooperation or co-tutelage the Thierry programmes can also be offered at other colleges and universities around the world. For the programmes and courses offered in distance learning (online), the cooperations and joint-ventures are organised conjointly with the INSIL, Institut Supérieur International de Leadership of France.
