Prof. Jean-Pierre Bal, Executive Director, is the acting affirmative action and equal opportunity officer, carrying out the pertaining tasks and  responsibilities that comply with, amongst other:

 

1. The Constitution of the Kingdom of Belgium, the Articles 10 and 11 in particular; as well as the relevant Laws and Royal Decrees;

 

2. The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted and proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 10 December 1948;

 

3. The Council of Europe's European Convention on Human Rights adopted and proclaimed on 4 November 1950, the Article 14 in particular; 

 

4. The United States of America Acts, more specifically the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as well as the Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
